Still Unnamed Thursday Art Group
It felt really good to get back into the Thursday Group at Hungerford. I have missed it. Now that the show is up and the opening over it is time to get back into routine (and make a piece for the group show that goes up after mine at Whitman Works).
This model is new to me and she did a really wonderful job. I felt rusty, but did okay.
First session (Thursday November 14th):
Second session November 21st:
I did realize that I had made a little skull in her hair. It wasn’t intentional but once I saw it was there I decided to keep it. Would have been nice to have more time to spend on her tattoo… but I guess there is always something that could use more work.
Painting is such a meditative process. It’s difficult to think about anything else while painting (for me). It’s a nice way to get out of my own way for a little while and it’s always nice to play with paint.
Maybe someday I will figure out a better use for these than putting them on my fence. If anyone ever wants any of these let me know… I never know what to do with them.
