I have been aware of the Monster Project for a while. I thought it was the coolest idea ever.

If you are not familiar, the Monster Project takes kids’ drawings of monsters and has professional artists reimagine them. I have seen so many really cool ones over the years and had always thought that it was an invitational thing (and maybe it was initially).

Last week I discovered that they were on Instagram @themonsterproject and that if you signed up a new monster drawing would be sent to you every other week. Of course I immediately did so and not too long after I was sent my very first monster.

Here is the monster that I was sent

and if it works, here is seven year old Soleil explaining her monster.

I hoping to add Monster re-imagining to my regular routine and look forward to making more of these in the future!

The possibilities are endless and Soleil did such a great job with her concept!
