Thursday Hungerford Group March 7th & 14th, 2019
First day. I like that Mark bring props and gives us interesting poses. He has a great face and I am happy to have had another opportunity to work with him.
He had to be dying wearing all these layers in that room (it’s SO hot in there this time of year) but he is an incredibly good sport and never complained about it.
Day 2
I was (all things considered) fairly happy with this one so I stopped early. I found myself noodling on it and that is when it is time to walk away.
Always always always worth the time and the practice. I was thinking today about people who view art as some sort of magic trick. “I don’t know how you do that.” Practice. Lots and lots of practice. I can look back at the ones that I did even in the recent past an see where I am making improvements. I don’t think we ever get to the point where we really feel like we’ve “got it” but chasing it is fun.
He looks like Hugh Jackman!
He looks a bit like Hugh Jackman in person as well. Appropriately enough, he dressed as Wolverine for Halloween last year.
